PHYSICS CHALLENGE DAY - NOTTINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL
19.5.16
Four of our Year 5 children attended the above event and worked alongside pupils from other schools. Mrs Khaliq, who took the children, said that they all worked very hard and rose to the challenges that were presented to them. Great news and congratulations, as they also came 1st in one of the challenges!
Friday 20th November 2015
Four of our Year 6 children took part in the first of two planned Primary Parliaments. It took place at the Council House in the Market Square and focused on 'The Festival of Science and Curiosity'.
The children listened to guest speakers, had opportunities to investigate scientific theories and finished by presenting to the rest of the delegates (including Councillor Mellen), their ideas for a Science based project that will happen at Forest Fields in the Spring Term.
The follow up will include sharing their ideas with Mrs Marks (Science Lead), hosting an assembly to KS1 and planning a mornings worth of Science based investigations/activities for our Year 2 children that will aim to engage, encourage, excite and enthuse!
Details to follow soon....
