Evergreen Pizza Trip 2.10.18
The children learned about hand hygiene and what ingredients went into making the pizza dough and they had a go at pressing and flipping etc...
They had a tasting session as their Margherita cooked which included cucumber, tomatoes, capers, sweet and spicy peppers, olives, basil and smelt the oregano herb!
There were likes and dislikes and all in good fun!
All children worked great together sharing the bowls and helping one another out.
The children were a credit to the school, consistently using good manners and enjoying the experience. Well done to all!
Friday 17.3.17 - Pizza Party at Frankie and Bennys, Nottingham
16 of our lucky 'Evergreen Children' were drawn out of a hat and were rewarded with a visit to Nottingham. Here, they took part in a Pizza Party that was hosted by Frankie and Bennys'. All the children got to shape dough, make their own Pizzas and then whilst they were cooking, played educational games. Not only did they make their own Pizzas, but they got to eat them as well. Each child was also awarded a certificate and a pass that allows then to have free meals when they visit Frankie and Bennys' with an adult. The children had a fab time and their behaviour was excellent. They listened well, used their manners and even helped each other out!
A big thank you to Miss Tegart for organising the venture into Nottingham and also to Mrs Eyre and Mrs Sharpe who thoroughly enjoyed making and eating her own creations!

Friday 22.7.16 - Pizza Party at Frankie and Bennys, Nottingham
16 of our lucky 'Evergreen Children' were drawn out of a hat and were rewarded with a visit to Nottingham. Here, they took part in a Pizza Party that was hosted by Frankie and Bennys'. All the children got to shape dough, make their own Pizzas and then whilst they were cooking, took part in a quiz that focused on eating healthily. Not only did they make their own Pizzas, but they got to eat them as well. Each child was also awarded a certificate and a pass that allows then to have free meals when they visit Frankie and Bennys' with an adult. The event was a huge success, with all children demonstrating throughout the visit why they were chosen for the reward. Well done to each of them and the other children who were also in the draw as 'Evergreens'.
A big thank you to Miss Tegart for organising the venture into Nottingham and also to Mrs Eyre who thoroughly enjoyed making and eating her own creation!
