I am Ratiba Mesbah Boukhalfa, a parent governor at Forest Fields Primary and Nursery School, and have been in this role since February 2016. I am now in my second term of office in this role, serving my community.
I speak Arabic and French, and English is my third language. My aim is helping other parents and ease the communication between them and the school ,especially the parents who need more help either because of lack of understanding or language barriers, for example, new arrivals from different European countries who speak little English and need support.
Forest Fields Primary School was my daughter’s primary school and now they are at their first year at secondary school .
Forest Fields Primary School was the first venue for the maths and English courses for parents and where I achieved my level one and two in both and moving to get my GCSEs at the college.
It is a friendly and happy environment for parents and helps them learn new skills, meet, communicate and share new thoughts.
Finally I’m very happy and ready to help and support anyone in need.
