Forest Fields Primary is a good school. (Ofsted 2013)
As you know, we had an Ofsted Inspection on the 26 and 27 of November.
I am really delighted to share their final report which confirms that Forest Fields Primary is a good school. This can be found in the 'Key Information' section of our website.
The targets for improvement we have been set reflect those we have already set ourselves and are already working on.
The inspectors were especially impressed by the children’s positive attitude to learning, which is something which reflects the encouragement and support they get from you at home.
Thank you for your continuing support it is very much appreciated by all members of the school community.
Enjoy reading the report!
Yours sincerely,
Ms S Hoyland
Headteacher
Yesterday (Saturday 14th December) we had the 3000th visitor to our website! This is a fantastic achievement since the website was launched, which was less than 5 months ago! We are really glad that so many people are finding it useful and interesting - please let me know if you have any suggestions for making our website even better...
Miss Brewer
On Friday 15th November, we supported Children in Need. The children (and staff!) dressed up in their pyjamas and showed us their spots! A big thank you to Tracy and the kitchen team who made HUNDREDS of fantastic Pudsey Bear biscuits for the children to buy. We also had some cakes decorated in classes during the afternoon, which the parents and families bought after school and we sold out in just ten minutes!! Altogether we raised £488 - well done everybody and thank you for your support.
School will be CLOSED on Tuesday 1st October due to strike action by NUT and NASUWT members. If you would like to read about the reasons for this action, please follow the link below to download a leaflet from the NUT.
